My name is
Philip Christy, and I'm a real estate agent with CCR Realtors in Lima, Ohio. You can read all of
the details of my credentials at the end of this page, but first
I'd like to give you some background that will provide an
insight into what this site is really about.
I'm an Ohio
native and have lived in Allen County since 1986. I grew
up in Amanda, a small farming community where my family was in
the banking industry. I followed in my father's footsteps
and worked in banking for more than 25 years. My father,
Wendell, was a man of high integrity who was much admired for
his sincerity, honesty, and service to the community.
Although my father has recently passed away, his values live on.
The desire to carry on his ethics and principles is a very
important part of who I am today. I don't profess to
be my father, but I can aspire to be more like him.
It's with that
spirit that I have created this web site. I left banking
after 25 years because in the world of mergers and acquisitions,
small community banks got swallowed up and it quit being about
service to the customer, it became all about the "hard
sell" and the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Of
course it's my goal to make a decent living in the real estate
business. But not at the expense of others or my values.
I am not a salesman and never will be. I will only stay in
the field of real estate as long as I feel I can use my
profession as a vehicle to make a difference.
I currently
live out in the country with my wife, Amy, and my two dogs,
Nettie, an orphan stray that we took in as a puppy, and Trixie,
my adorable wire-haired dachshund, who is the
"hostess" of this site. I have experienced both
the pleasures and heartaches that come with having owned a
number of very special dogs in my
lifetime, all of whom have touched me in a unique way.
That I have been able to devote a portion of this site to
sharing my love of animals is also a great personal reward. If
you are a pet lover, then this site is for you, too.
I hope you
enjoy exploring LimaRealEstate.NET and find information that is
useful to you. I would love to hear your thoughts about
what other types of resources you would find beneficial, whether
it be about real estate, pets, or the Lima area community in
general.
Regards,
